Representatives from some of the world's leading medical institutions will speak at the summit which aims to share the latest in healthcare management and thought leadership to a distinguished audience of ministers, CEOs and medical professionals.

Key speakers at the summit include Dr. Delos M Cosgrove, CEO, Cleveland Clinic, Steven J Thompson, CEO, Johns Hopkins International, Sir Jonathan Michael, Chief Executive, Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital NHS Trust, Jay B Pieper, Vice President, Partners Healthcare System, Dr. Andrew E Barrer, Executive Director, Harvard Medical International and Dr. Jorg F Debatin, Medical Director and CEO, University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf.

Commenting on the far reaching impact of the summit, John Hassett, Exhibition Director, Arab Health 2005, said: "Insights from speakers combined with contributions from ministers and senior health officials in attendance will offer an unmatched platform for discussion on the future of healthcare in the Middle East. The depth of experience which we have assembled at the event and the resolve of the health ministers, gives us confidence that 'Leaders in Healthcare' will provide a springboard for future development of the region's healthcare sector."

Topics for discussion will include the role of clinicians as leaders in healthcare, achieving quality through integration and leadership within the economic constraints of the public healthcare system. Speakers at the event will also discuss the challenges of building a global healthcare brand from within the region and the importance of global affiliations and associations.

"The Middle East faces a number of healthcare challenges that merit urgent attention. Given the rising population and the growing demand for specialist treatment and clinics within the Middle East, we feel that the time is right for a conference of this strategic nature," added Hassett.

"Leaders in Healthcare" has been sponsored by Siemens Medical Systems, one of the world's leading healthcare companies and will be held in association with Dubai Healthcare City.
Celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2005, Arab Health, which runs from February 12-15, will feature 2,000 exhibitors from 50 countries and is the region's annual meeting place for over 25,000 trade visitors. Arab Health 2005 will occupy all ten halls of the Dubai International Exhibition Center, in addition to hosting 13 key conferences and seminars alongside.
