GE Healthcare Introduces EXCITE on SIGNA
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, February 12 - 2005 at 16:47
- PRESS RELEASE
GE Healthcare announced today at Arab Health Exhibition and Congress in Dubai that the company's 0.2T Signa Profile system - the world's best-selling open scanner with 1000 installation globally- is now available with the company's revolutionary EXCITE platform.
"The EXCITE platform streamlines data management, empowering clinicians to use more advanced techniques and applications in their routine practice in less time," said Chris Austin MR Manager for Middle East and Africa at GE Healthcare.
The introduction of Excite technology on Profile provides users with the same user interface and the data management speed available on all high field scanners. Availability on the Profile system will enable improved patient handling and workflow with a potential to improve patient throughput. The EXCITE platform was developed and proven on GE's high field cylindrical Signa systems and migrated throughout the company's magnetic resonance (MR) line.
The 0.2T Profile EXCITE® technology is a patient friendly system that offers higher performance at low field. The open MR environment virtually eliminates patient anxiety and claustrophobia.
"Patients will be able to be scanned in the comfort of an open MR environment, but still benefit from the improved speed and image quality provided by EXCITE," said Austin.
