- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, February 12 - 2005 at 16:59
- PRESS RELEASE
Schiller AG of Switzerland, the 30 year old private and independent medical diagnostics major has launched a range of new products for the region at Arab Health 2005.
Commenting on the participation of Schiller AG at Arab Health 2005, Alessandro Zust, International Sales Manager, said: "This is our sixth time at Arab Health and we have made it part of our annual strategy to reach out to the Middle East market. I am pleased to announce our new products here. They have been made possible by the intensive efforts of our research and development team that in most cases takes an upward of 15 man years to develop a single product."
Schiller AG claims 45 per cent of the regional market share in electro-cardiogram equipment and is one of the leading players in cardio-pulmonary function testing and patient monitoring systems.
"The market for sports and fitness testing equipment is growing rapidly in the region. Our ergospirometer range eases the diagnosis and treatment of lung and heart conditions. Our new pocket defibrillator, the smallest in the world, can help the patient's family perform the role of a paramedic at home in times of cardiac arrests," added Alessandro.
"Schiller AG is a regular exhibitor at Arab Health and has reached out to the regional market from here. We welcome them again and hope to provide all the support necessary for another successful year at Arab Health," said John Hasset, Exhibition Director, Arab Health 2005.
Arab Health is the only event in the region that brings together medical specialists and manufacturers under one roof. It affords major companies a platform to showcase their equipment while simultaneously affording medical practitioners from various disciplines an opportunity to update their knowledge.
The expanding healthcare sector demands the installation of state-of-the-art equipment in the region's hospitals, clinics and diagnostic laboratories. The region's health market is currently estimated at around US$74 billion, with a 16 per cent annual growth rate, making it one of the world's most attractive markets for hospital equipment and services companies in the world.
