- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, February 13 - 2005 at 09:19
- PRESS RELEASE
AME Info, the Middle East's premier online business resource, has joined forces with Zayed University's Institute for Technological Innovation (ITI) to launch the 'e-Entrepreneur Column,' an online journal of technology and business innovation at http://www.ameinfo.com/news/e-Entrepreneur.
The column will feature a selected article written by a student studying at a GCC university as well as guest feature writers from industry and academia. All submissions to the Column will be reviewed by an editorial board of experts. Authors of top articles of the year will be recognized with prizes and certificates.
The articles may express opinions or offer advice, consist of an analysis or review e-business issues, or may be designed to raise awareness of current or future business and technology issues. Alternatively, articles may focus on experimentation, adaptation of ideas or business practices, or offer new and innovative approaches and ideas relevant to today's technology-rich and knowledge-centric world.
Publishing an article in the e-Entrepreneur Column will expose students to the 1.3 million visitors to the AMEinfo.com site every month. Klaus Lovgreen, Chief Executive Officer, AME Info, said: "Today's students are tomorrow's captains of industry, so AME Info is keen to build strong links with students who turn to the AMEinfo.com Web site for information, and this joint project helps position AME Info as a major information provider across the Middle East."
The ITI is a ZU-owned and -operated business center designed to educate business leaders and aspiring professionals on new and emerging technologies. ZU is committed to providing an outcome-based learning environment which encourages and supports academic success. With the launch of e-Entrepreneur Column, ITI and AME Info provide a link between the academic mission of the University and the business world.
Award-winning AME Info is the Middle East's leading provider of regional business news, content and analysis. Site content is delivered to Reuters, Dow Jones, FT, AmEx, HSBC, MSN Arabia and Palm Arabic as well as AvantGo. The site's international profile is bolstered by a global advertising deal with international news channel, CNN.
