- PRESS RELEASE
The risks and opportunities in the Middle East's business hub and economic diversification drive of Dubai were recently highlighted during the Dubai Business and Investment Roundtable conference held in London on February 7.
The keynote speakers from Dubai included Mr. Mohammed Ali Alabbar, Director General, Department of Economic Development and Chairman of Emaar, and Dr. Omar bin Sulaiman, Director General, Dubai International Financial Centre.
The conference, sponsored by Emaar and Dubai International Financial Centre, debated the strategic issues shaping Dubai's future. Other issues discussed included Dubai's long-term vision, using Dubai as a trading hub and infrastructure developments in the emirate.
DTCM's participation is in line with its vision to attract more tourists to the emirate. The department has been actively participating in conferences and a number of road shows, exhibitions and workshops on its own in key cities around the world every year.
Through its participation, the DTCM expects to play an important role in promoting widespread awareness of the opportunities Dubai has to offer in both business and tourism.
