The newly patented system has been combined with Express Distribution and guarantees security and validated temperature controlled packaging, transport and distribution of products. The system uses dry ice to freeze goods and bolts this facility onto its supply chain management and hospital pharmacy services.

The other features of this first class temperature controlled logistics solution include IATA compliance clearance for dangerous goods, DHL's information systems, expert custom clearance, and project management. Nick Taylor - DHL Middle East Pharmaceutical and Consumer Products Manager, said: "Arab Health is an ideal platform for our special services that are customized for this vital, zero-tolerance sector."

"The service ensures efficient transportation of our client's products and eliminates replenishment of cooling mediums during transit. It also simplifies complex international custom formalities and guarantees validations of tests transported."

The innovative Temperature Controlled Packaging ensures safe and compliant transportation by delivering the products in cooled, deep frozen or protected ambient state. A range of cooling techniques are implemented to deliver temperature-controlled cool chains offering 2-8 degree C, - 20 degree C or protected ambient environments for varying distribution times.

The innovative solutions guarantee security, are cost effective and allow improvement in physical flow and integrated cool chain management. Its other advantages include real time tracking systems for temperature sensitive products, greater speed in delivery, improved validation control and programme management and consultancy on complete logistics needs of international distribution.

"DHL has always been one step ahead in providing logistic solutions for different industries. We pride ourselves on giving our customers an unmatchable service and total peace of mind" Mr. Taylor said.
