- PRESS RELEASE
The Department of Civil Aviation Dubai has received the ISO 9001-2000 certification for Quality Management System.
HH Sheikh Ahmed commented: "Quality is the key word in the success of any organisation. Achieving a high standard and maintaining it thereafter is the only way forward. It is a matter of pride that the Department of Civil Aviation has achieved this certification. It stresses upon the fact that we are keen on our management systems and want to provide nothing but the best for our customers."
Earlier individual divisions - such as the Dubai Cargo Village, Engineering, Cleaning Services - of the Department of Civil Aviation had received ISO 9002 certifications. Now DCA as a whole has received the certificate.
Individual divisions in DCA have been working hard over the last one year to achieve this distinction. The DCA trained over 30 internal auditors who helped conduct self evaluation programmes throughout DCA and put in corrective measures when necessary. The purpose of getting the ISO was to ensure a team based organisation that meets the current operational demands and future business changes.
