Tech Access appoints Business Solutions Architect to deliver I.T. value transparency
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, May 01 - 2002 at 15:44
- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Internet City-based Tech Access, Sun Microsystems' regional Channel Development Provider (CDP), has appointed Briton Martyn Molnar as its Business Solutions Architect.
"Martyn achieved great success in introducing this 'value led' approach to Sun UK. This model brings complete transparency to the value I.T. solutions deliver to business. To our knowledge it has not been fully utilised regionally before, but we believe it can work here with equal success. This is another yet another example of Tech Access delivering greater value to the Sun reseller channel," said Quentin Cornelius, Chief Operations Officer, Tech Access.
A graduate of the UK's Kingston University, Molnar says the solutions architect's role is critical to the new Tech Access approach. "The solutions architect is the interface, bridging the gap between technology and business. The position is integral to the process of projecting and measuring the benefit of investment in I.T. infrastructure," said Molnar.
"This value led' approach enabled us to develop and execute a $20 million strategy to position Sun as the 'defacto' industry standard platform across specifically targeted sectors - Business Services, Retail and Property - in the UK,"
The new strategy centres round engaging senior level management and addressing these basic business concerns through technology solutions.
"A company's corporate goals will define and drive its key strategic initiatives, which in turn will be supported by critical business processes. The role of I.T. is to underpin these processes. This is the new 'solution ecosystem'," said Molnar.
"The focus of this model is to bring direct value back to business from investment in I.T. infrastructure. This needs to be clearly and succinctly illustrated, it must be able to aptly demonstrate how any given I.T. solution will impact on the bottom line."
Throughout his 12-year career, Molnar has been involved in strategic consulting and solution implementation partnering blue-chip companies such as Accenture, Sun Microsystems, British Petroleum, and Union Bank of Switzerland.
