3rd Middle East Showcase of TV France International in Dubai in February

After the two first successful editions in Beirut in 2003 and 2004, the French exporters wish, this year, to develop their contacts with the TV channels of the Gulf, particularly, the Public TV stations, the satellite bouquets and the pan-arabic commercial TV networks for which Dubai is now a real regional spot.

To this day, more than 70 professionals from the Near and Middle East - Managers of TV channels, acquisitions managers, distributors...- have confirmed their participation. They will come from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Syria and from the UAE. More than a half of these participants will attend for the first time the regional showcase of TV France International.

Due to the fast growing TV industry in the Middle East, the needs for TV programs are improving. The 20 French companies that will be in Dubai are representatives of the French TV programs industry. They will present a large choice of various, innovative and quality programs (films, series, documentaries, cartoons...). All over the world, the audiences of the French TV programs are improving as well for cartoons for children than for family films, adventure documentaries, current affairs, game shows or theatre plays.

For three years TV France international and the French embassies in the region have been promoting the French TV programs. Consequence : more and more decision makers and key players of the Middle East TV industry, but also the viewers, are now appreciating the French programs. The French cinema is also on the move in the region and the cinema theaters in Dubai or Beirut show more and more French movies.
