- PRESS RELEASE
The Swedish Ambassador Mr. Ake Karlsson to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia yesterday visited one of the most successful Swedish commercial ventures in the Kingdom.
The factory, which produced a record 400 million packages in March, ensures that all the aseptic packaging needs of the Middle East region are met, with orders from the GCC and beyond now processed in Jeddah before being shipped to liquid food producers for processing.
The group, accompanied by Commercial Director Peder Berggren, was shown some of the highlights of the Tetra Pak facility, including the converting factory, where some of the household names in the Saudi dairy industry - including Sadafco, Al-Safi, and NADEC - have their product packages manufactured and printed.
Peder Berggren said on the occasion that he was delighted that Jeddah was now a major focus for the Middle East beverage and food industry. "This is the second year of full scale operations," he added. "The facility has undergone significant growth, and the most recent addition is the opening of a new straw factory ensuring that a complete solution is provided to beverage and food producers, whether in Saudi Arabia, the GCC, or beyond."
