Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders organises 'Young Entrepreneur' Competition

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Board of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders (SME), the Establishment hosted the 'Young Entrepreneur' competition for school students at Al Reef Mall from February 15- 17th.
The students participating came up with their own business projects which were presented during a special three-day exhibition at Al-Reef Mall.
Majid Saif Al Ghurair, President of Burjuman Centre and Al Reef Mall said, "We are pleased to participate in sponsoring such events that aim to introduce school students to the business world by educating them on the basics of starting a business which in turn will help in promoting the economic development of our country."
Abdul Baset Al Janahi, the CEO of Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment said: "The Establishment is always keen on developing contacts with the students through organizing such events that aim to educate and increase the awareness of the students about the business world and how to plan for a successful business project."
He added "'Young Entrepreneur' competition is an ideal chance for the students to introduce them to the business world and to the concepts of business management, besides motivating them to enter the business world in the future. There is no doubt that school students are at the forehead of the future economic development and therefore it is our objective to build an excellent rapport with the schools hoping to better inform the students and support them to enter the business field in the future."
The participating students showed great interest and enthusiasm by participating in this competition which will enhance their skills and encourage healthy competition amongst them. The projects presented by the students reflected their competence in managing challenging businesses.
High School students, girls and boys of different nationalities participated in the competition. The different private and government schools that participated include Al Mawakeb School, AlIttihad, Dubai International, Dubai National, Dubai College, Cambridge High School, Maria School, AlWahda AlArabiya, Oxford, Ahlia Alkhairiya and Modern High School
The carefully selected judging committee included Mariam Jumas, Kaltham Hussain, Fatma Abdoul from Dubai Educational Zone; Ahmed Tahlak, Entrepreneur, TSC, Liza Jardeleza of Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment and Anthony De La Cruz from Al Reef Mall.
The winner will be honoured by H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence during the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leader Awards Ceremony that will take place in April 2005.
