Advance bookings from global exhibitors like GE, Siemens, Philips, Johnson and Johnson, Kodak, KCI, Servier, Stryker and Storz, who have all asked for increased stand space, indicating that over 30,000 square metres would be needed to meet the demand in 2006.

Conferences that run parallel to the event will be further enhanced in terms of their number and the quality of speakers. Top strategy experts have been invited to speak at the 'Leaders in Healthcare' summit in 2006.

According to John Hassett, Exhibition Director Arab Health, "Siemens Medical Solutions had only a 30 square metre stand in 2001, but that will grow to 225 square metres in 2006. Advance bookings from almost all of our regular exhibitors have shown a need for more space allocation.

The unique format of the event, which combines an exhibition with cutting edge education in the form of specialist conferences, has drawn 30,000 visitors and 2000 exhibitors this year. "Exhibitors and conference attendees find the right mix of new developments, products and services and make the most of excellent networking opportunities offered by Arab Health. The healthcare industry regards it as one of the best organised global events," added Hassett.

The organisers expect to host more multi-tracked, specialist conferences in 2006 than the 14 held this year. The conferences offer accreditation in the form of credits from the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (CME), which help attendees maintain their annual quota of CME credits.

Speaking about their long term participation in Arab Health 2005, Mohammed Ali-Jabr, Marketing Director, Mediterranean and Gulf, KARL STORZ, said: "We believe that Arab Health it is the most professionally run of the exhibitions and conferences in the region. It provides exhibitors like us an invaluable opportunity to meet end users of our products and gather valuable information. We look forward to the opportunities Arab Health will offer in 2006".

"The key difference at Arab Health is that it does not stand still. We are proud to bring such dynamic and fast growing event to Dubai and the region," concluded Hassett.

About Arab Health 2005
Arab Health 2005 was held in Dubai from February 12-15, 2005 and occupied all 10 halls, including the Sheikh Rashid Hall, of the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. Arab Health is organised by IIR Middle East with official support from the UAE Ministry of Health and the Dubai Department of Health and Medical Services.

Arab Health 2005 is much larger than any healthcare event in the region with over 2,000 companies from over 50 countries having registered and major country groups having sold out their space allocation.

Physicians from across the region who attend the Arab Health Conference sessions earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits as the sessions are recognized by the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (AACME). IIR ME has passed a series of rigorous and internationally recognized standards for the provision of continuing medical education and quality health care, set by the AACME, and has subsequently been awarded status as an "Accredited Organization". Over 17,000 worldwide health care organisations are accredited by the AACME

The annual Arab Health Exhibition and Congress attracts thousands of decision makers, including healthcare executives from public and private sectors, facility planners and managers, architects, designers, directors of non-clinical services and contractors, affording them a rare opportunity to join over 350 hospital design and interiors companies under one roof.
