The program provides customized savings plans including the College Savings Plan, Marriage savings Plan, Home Savings Plan and Retirement Savings Plan.
Plans come with a term flexibility between 3 and 20 years, and take into consideration the life cycle needs of the family, mainly saving for marriage, higher education for children, home ownership and a comfortable retirement. The program offers subscribers the flexibility of signing up to one or more of the offered plans, while each plan requires as little as $ 100 (AED 367) in monthly contributions to meet the ultimate savings goal.
Accumulated funds are invested in AAA investment vehicles that ensure growth and stability in line with the specific investment goals. Moreover, policyholders will be able to increase their regular contributions with lump-sum amounts at anytime, and to shift funds from one investment vehicle to another, at no cost, after the initial 3-year period. All plans carry a 30-day free trial period and provide Family Guard, the automatic Personal Insurance Cover from Citibank.
'One of Citibank's key strengths is our ability to understand the full range of customer financial needs across their different life stages. Each customer goes through important milestones which often require large financial outlays, starting with planning for marriage and children education, then setting up one's home, and finally ensuring a comfortable retirement,' said Rajeev Kakar, Regional Head for Citibank's Consumer Bank in Turkey, Middle East & Africa. 'At Citibank, we partner with our customers to meet these financial commitments. That's why we are today introducing a special program to meet the evolving financial needs of the family and to address its aspirations as it moves from one life-cycle stage to another.'
Citibank's consumer offer provides tailor-made banking solutions to a diverse clientele including credit cards, consumer loans, CitiGold priority banking, investment services and bespoke private banking products. Keeping apace with the fast developing UAE market, the bank is currently a major player in the UAE's credit card market and is a leading provider of consumer credit services including personal and auto loans. The personal banking offer is backed by the sophisticated CitiPhone Banking service, a virtual branch meeting all banking needs over the telephone.
