The General Assembly elected 11 members and 2 reserves amongst 18 candidates. The new members are: Mr. Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Mr. Nicolas Webb, Mr. Walid M Al Saleh, Mr. Saeed Khalifa Al Shamsi, Ms. Nada Jaber, Mr. Ali Monasser, Mr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Mr. Satish Khanna, Mr. Ali Hassan, Mr. Abdulla Al Tayeb and Hilal Al Marri. The Reserve members are Mr. A. L. Thomas and Mr. Dominick Kennaghan.
According to the legislation of the Business Groups, the new Representative Committee will lead the activities of the group for the next two years.
The Chamber has established the business groups, according to economic activities, to allow members to be more involved in its activities and to have bigger role in identifying major problems and issues, and in shaping economic policies and legislation. It pursued to activate the links amongst members and study their suggestions and recommendations related to organizing and developing their sectors as well as working as a link between them and the concerning authorities in and out of UAE.
DCCI: 'Exhibition and Conventions Organizers Business Group' elected their new representative committee
The 'Exhibition and Conventions Organizers', one of the Business Groups operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), elected their new Representative Committee in a General Assembly meeting, on Sunday evening, at the Chamber, in the presence of Mr. Abdulrahman Ghanem Al Mutaiwee, Director-General of DCCI and Mr. Tariq Lootah, Director of Trade & Industry Development Department.
