Emirates Chairman meets with the President of Seychelles

Mr. James Alix Michel, President of the Republic of Seychelles met with His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman of the Emirates Group, in the President's office here.
Sheikh Ahmed is in the Seychelles to celebrate Emirates' thrice weekly, non-stop services between the islands and Dubai, launched last month.
He was accompanied by a group of senior Emirates executives which included the airline's President Tim Clark; Ghaith Al Ghaith, Executive Vice President Commercial Operations Worldwide; Nabil Sultan, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations West Asia and Indian Ocean; and Hans Haensel, Senior Vice President Destination and Leisure Management.
Sheikh Ahmed thanked the President for his government's cooperation in granting Emirates the rights to operate between the Seychelles and Dubai. He pointed out that the new Emirates service will enhance Seychelles' tourism industry and also will facilitate air links to more markets for the islands' business and cargo community.
Seychelles joins the Emirates network as its 78th destination. Emirates flight EK706 departs from the Seychelles every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 am and arrives in Dubai at 12:30 pm. Inbound flight EK 705 takes off from the ultra-modern Dubai International Airport on the same days at 2:10 am and arrives in the Seychelles at 6:45 am.
