Mr. Abdul Rahman G. Al Mutaiwee, Director General of the DCCI, said: "We are pleased to host a prominent business personality like Phillip Forrest to speak about the prestigious MRM Business Award. Our aim is to encourage optimum participation from local businesses in our new initiative as it will provide them with an ideal opportunity to showcase their achievements and participate in an enriching knowledge-sharing process at the same time.
This session will provide a unique learning experience to aspiring participants through the sharing of ideas and best practises, and will play a significant role in achieving our objective."
Launched by DCCI to boost business excellence and enterprise for a diversified and progressive local economy, the MRM Business Award covers four key categories of business: industry, finance, export and re-export. Participation is open to all firms registered with the respective Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the UAE, with the sole exception of businesses operating in the Free Trade Zones for the first few years of the Award process.
The participants have to meet a set of general and specific criteria in order to be short listed for assessment. The latter involves a thorough examination of all aspects for the businesses and will involve on and off site analysis. The final stage will see the successful nominees endorsed by a selection committee comprising national and international experts.
