Empa to distribute ASUS notebooks and PDAs to customers in the UAE and GCC

This agreement gives Empa the rights to distribute ASUS notebooks and PDAs to their customers in the UAE and GCC.

The press conference was attended by media and press representatives and top customers of Empa in UAE.

Mr. Marvis Hsiao, The Deputy Director of Asustek Computers speaking on this agreement and its relevance to GCC region said "Asus Revenue of 2004 is around USD 8 Billion, which is 30% growth in comparison to 2003". "Asus now is one of the top five notebooks manufacturers and is one of the top 10 brands in the whole world. And in order to give more support to ME customers, and because we trust Empa's strength in UAE and GCC, Asus recently signed Empa for distributing Notebooks and PDAs products in GCC, and we believe that we will succeed in delivering total solutions to the UAE and GCC". added Mr. Hsiao.

"Based on our experience in distributing notebooks in other territories, Asus notebooks will have strong acceptance in the GCC countries where we are very strong and continuously enlarging our customer base." said Armagan Demir, VP Sales & Marketing at Empa. "Empa is traditionally very strong in IT component distribution business. Finished products distribution is a different type of business and Empa would like to expand in this segment as well. We are certain that this agreement will bring success to Empa and Asus.", added Demir.
