- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, February 24 - 2005 at 09:14
- PRESS RELEASE
In a grand ceremony held in Dubai, the ARY Group of Companies announced the launch of The ARY DIGITAL TOWER - a 45 story tower that will house the studios and corporate head office of THE ARY DIGITAL NETWORK along with separate residential and commercial areas for offices and shops.
There will also be production facilities at the ARY DIGITAL TOWER that will be available for use by local and international producers.
"We launched ARY DIGITAL in the United Kingdom 4 years ago, and then seeing the Dynamic Vision of HH Sheikh Mohammad, when he announced Dubai Media City we had immediately decided to shift base to and broadcast out of the City of Dubai and become a part of the Dubai Media City Family, said Mr. Iqbal, I would like to thank HH Sheikh Mohammad, and congratulate him on the remarkable facilities the City of Dubai is providing for international broadcasters in the industry. We would like to thank our viewers, without whom the growth of ARY Digital is not possible, my family for their continuous support, and the entire ARY DIGITAL TEAM around the world."
Also present on the occasion was ARY Group Chairman Mr. Hajji Abdul Razzak Yaqoob and representatives of the renowned Architectural and Engineering consultants Eng. Adnan Saffarini Group.
"The design of the Tower which has a built up area over 700,000 square feet, has a very unique projection of the letter "A" symbolic for the "A" in the ARY Group," said Mr. Ahmed Saffarini, "The design is one of a kind and very picturesque. Due to the ideal location there is one side facing the natural beauty of the sea and the other, the bustling Sheikh Zayed Road, both very scenic, especially for a television broadcaster."
The ARY DIGITAL TOWER is one of the 5 towers to be situated in Dubai Media City and is set for completion in the first quarter of 2007.
