Emirates trims its scheduled flights

Emirates has announced reduced flights to a number of destinations during the two weeks Thursday September 27 to Wednesday October 10.
Destinations affected are: Bahrain, Muscat, Doha and Dammam in the Gulf; Karachi, Hyderabad and Hong Kong in Asia; and London Heathrow, Birmingham, Dusseldorf and Zurich in Europe.
"Passengers can be assured that they will not be inconvenienced but we are cancelling some flights to reflect demand," said Ghaith Al Ghaith, Commercial Operations Director.
Passengers who are planning to travel to the above destinations on or after September 27 can check flight information by calling the Emirates Call Centre on 04-214 4444.
In the Gulf region, Bahrain will continue to be served daily by flights EK243/EK244 but flights EK241/EK242 between Dubai and Bahrain are cancelled. Flights EK202/203 between Dubai and Muscat will operate four times weekly instead of daily. Flights EK223/224 and EK225/226 between Dubai and Doha will operate six times weekly instead of daily. The three times weekly service EK321/322 between Dubai and Dammam is reduced to twice weekly.
In the Subcontinent, two daily services between Dubai and Karachi are slightly reduced during the period in question. The twice weekly service EK610/611 is unaffected. The eight-times-weekly flights between Dubai and Hyderabad will operate six times weekly.
In the Pacific Rim, the three-times weekly, non-stop flight EK080/081 between Dubai and Hong Kong will operate twice weekly. Daily one-stop flights are unaffected.
In Europe, flights between Dubai and Zurich and Dubai and Dusseldorf will operate five times weekly instead of daily.
In the UK, Emirates passengers have a choice of four destinations (London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester) and six flights daily, including three daily flights to London Heathrow alone. These will be slightly reduced. The service EK005/006. will operate six times weekly instead of daily. The two other services between Dubai and London Heathrow (EK001/0002 and EK003/004) are unaffected. Flights between Dubai and Birmingham will operate six times weekly instead of daily. Services to Manchester and London Gatwick are unaffected.
