The Epson PLQ-20 handles high volume paper throughput at rapid print speeds of up to 480cps. Its ribbon-life equates to 5 million characters and the ribbon can be changed easily, even by less experienced users.

In addition, the PLQ-20 has a high copy capability of 7-part forms and a maximum thickness of 2.6 mm. The printer's small footprint and the optional space saving kit enable it to be installed in restricted spaces for example, on top of bank counters.

Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, EPSON Middle East, said: "Banks and public sector organisations need a robust printer with features like sheet alignment, automatic paper thickness adjustment and automatic page border recognition. The PLQ-20 is designed to meet all these requirements in a speedy and efficient manner, leading to higher productivity and cost-effectiveness. Counter staff in banks and other service organisations will be able to offer clients a more efficient service."

For customers whose systems required data to be read from or written to a magnetic strip the PLQ-20M includes a magnetic Stripe Reader/Writer (MSRW).

As with all printers in its Dot Matrix range, the Epson PLQ-20 offers reliability and robustness, ensuring it will perform even in the busiest and most pressurised business environments.

Parallel, serial and USB interfaces as well as ESC/P2, IBM and PR2 emulations and optional wireless and wired networking offer flexible connectivity.
