Representatives from the United States, Far East, Europe, Middle East and Latin America attended the conference, where the Middle East operations were hailed as the definitive standard in operating performance and store profitability.

Speaking after the conference, Chris Rines, Retail Marketing Manager for ACDelco in the Middle East said, "It is very encouraging to receive such recognition from our counterparts around the world and it speaks volumes for the quality being delivered by our Service Center network here in the region."

The ACDelco Service Center concept was launched in the Middle East only fifteen years ago when the first outlet opened in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Since then the network has grown into 23 outlets across the GCC and there are plans to open several more by the end of 2005. Longer term, the aim is to establish a fully integrated network of 80+ Service Centers throughout the region.

ACDelco Service Centers service all makes and models of vehicles and supply ACDelco parts that are designed to meet or exceed manufacturers' specifications in terms of quality and safety. They offer unrivalled customer service and provide 'while you wait' maintenance and repairs with the highest possible level of workmanship.

"There is increased demand from vehicle owners for conveniently located automotive service centers that undertake to provide quality repairs within a reasonable timeframe at an affordable price," added Rines. "Vehicle owners realize that taking care of their vehicles and fitting quality parts adds to the lifespan and ultimately increases residual values."

"Many vehicle owners are looking for a dependable alternative to having their vehicles serviced by the dealer and that is exactly what the ACDelco Service Centers offer."
