Tejari technical director lands top award from Emirates

Radhakrishnan Alagarsami, Tejari's technical director, outperformed the other 250 entrants in IT, Auditing, IS consultancy and IS security in the demanding exam for which a pass score of 75 percent is required.

His outstanding achievement was recognized by Emirates Airlines. Emirates senior vice president, IT, Joshua Koshy, presented Alagarsami with an award for excellence in Information Systems Auditing.

The presentation took place during the recent annual meeting of the UAE chapter of the US-based Information Control Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA) which administers the exam.

Since 1978, the CISA programme has been the globally accepted standard of achievement among information systems audit, control and security professionals.

Said Radhakrishnan: "An award such as this is a concrete symbol of our technical excellence and it further reassures all of Tejari's partners and customers that their online procurement efforts are in the best possible hands."

Radhakrishnan has been with Tejari since its inception in 2000 and is responsible for the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the online marketplace.

With more than 25 years experience in IT and a Masters Degree in Engineering with a specialization in computerised systems, Alagarsami has been widely applauded for migrating the marketplace hosting to Dubai from the US.

Prior to joining Tejari, Alagarsami held senior positions in the IT departments of Dubai Ports Authority as well as a large number of manufacturing organizations in India.
