- United Arab Emirates: Monday, February 28 - 2005 at 12:46
- PRESS RELEASE
Online Trading Academy™ Dubai (OTA)has announced that it is participating in the E*Trade US Financial Trading Conference in Dubai at the Emirates Tower Hotels on March, 10th.
"We are extremely elated to add another jewel in the crown with the joining of OTA and their Dubai's branch to our list of distinguished speaking partners. This addition will enlighten and enrich the attendees with masterful experience and knowledge, and provide a golden opportunity for all involved to witness and enjoy the latest trading techniques and strategies directly from the most recognized online trading training institute in the world. We are happy that they are now in the Middle East, which is a testimony to the importance of this field and the investing community," said Adnan Al-Delaimi, Dy. Manager, Arab2Invest.Com.
Mr. John O'Donnell (CEO OTA) will present the advantages of Direct Access Trading skills via OTA education and E*trade Execution Platform with Level 2 solutions, how to win in today's marketplace and beat the pros on Wall Street, why the secular bear market that started in March 2000 is not over yet, and how to profit from the coming "Baby Boomer Bust" in consumer spending and continuing bear market strategies focusing on the advantages of shorting the market. In addition, John will show 70 year historical Elliot Waves patterns that illustrate "over bought" and "over sold" chart conditions to substantiate his research.
Principal and consultant for five public companies, his expertise is an essential ingredient in Online Trading Academy's continued growth. Recognized by Inc. Magazine as the builder of two successful public companies, he twice became a finalist in the Orange County (California, USA) Entrepreneur of the Year contest sponsored by the magazine.
With its Headquarters in Irvine, California, OTA began franchising operations to meet public demand to provide more locations for its traders education courses. Initially, Dallas, USA will be opened in March along with a centre in Dubai, UAE. OTA will be aggressively replicating and expanding its successful business model to 100 cities worldwide over the next four years. This expansion is needed to meet the burgeoning growth of active investors and traders desiring to take control of their assets by learning the
skills of Direct Access Trading.
Under the tutelage of a team of professional traders as instructors, this highly motivated group of student/traders engages the market with live real-time trading accounts using OTA's capital. Franchisees will provide their local financial community this remarkable approach to trader education that has become the company's signature. All locations will begin to sponsor events such as free weekly "Power Trading Workshops" as well as monthly, daily and weekend classes in stock, currency, options index and futures trading.
According to Bear Stearns & Company, Inc., in their August 2004 Report, there is a core group of active individual "Semi-Pro" traders. The report indicates that "These customers trade more than 25 times per day" and account for "78% of daily online trades and 32% of daily combined NYSE and NASDAQ share volume." While there are no statistics available as yet for other markets such as currencies, options and futures, Bear Stearns comments that "there is a heightened interest from semi-pro traders in auto execution functionality, advanced analytics, connectivity to non-U.S. markets, risk-management tools, and listed trading". Online Trading Academy believes that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Bahram Khadavi, Owner and Managing Director of OTA Dubai is the first franchisee bringing this innovative electronic trading education concept into the very promising Middle-East Market.
Khadavi said, "Trading has fast become a universal concept. In all countries, we seem to be moving closer and closer to Direct Access Trading and 'global' markets from home-based broad-band computers through the internet. I believe that our newly established OTA location in Dubai evidences our commitment to that kind of forward-thinking."
