United Computer and Management Consultancy holds annual kick-off meeting

United Computer and Management Consultancy (UCMC), the Dubai and Northern Emirates operation of Gulf Business Machines (GBM), distributor for selected IBM products and services in the region, held its annual Kick-Off meeting at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel recently.

Cesare Cardone, GBM's Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the achievements of 2004 and presented this year's business plan to staff. The event - which was also attended by senior GBM, UCMC and IBM executives as well as representatives of the Board of Directors - provided an ideal opportunity to honour outstanding staff whose efforts contributed to the achievements of the year.

"2004 was a positive year for UCMC, where we implemented a number of innovative customer solutions in the country. We have diversified our businesses, joined forces with additional new business partners and added to the skills of our employees," said Ashok Bhola, General Manager, UCMC.

A number of UCMC staff were awarded for their dedication, team spirit, hard work and excellent overall performance during the event.
