Top Indian designers for The Bride Show Dubai 2005

Almost 20 top Indian designers are due in the UAE next month for the regional unveiling of their latest collections at The Bride Show Dubai 2005, the Middle East's largest and most distinguished exhibition for wedding day organisers and brides-to-be.

And the latest wedding collections of two of the sub-continent's finest designers will go on the catwalk at this year's show, which will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from April 12 -15 and is open to the public.

"Indian designers have a considerable influence on fashion in the Gulf, as the two cultures have historical links dating back centuries," said Charlotte Proudman, Event Manager, The Bride Show Dubai 2005.

"Indian designs are also now making an impact on the Middle East wedding scene. The show will be a meeting place for Eastern and Western tastes and our aim is to cover every possible facet of the wedding day scenario."

Designers taking to the catwalk will be Rina Latif and Sagar Couture with over 10 other bridal finest from India exhibiting their newest range of gowns, jewellery and wedding accessories.

"The Middle East is an extremely important market for us. We hope that The Bride Show Dubai 2005 will increase Indian influence in what is a very lucrative sector of a lucrative market," said Rina Latif.

The Indian designer collections are set to be one of the main highlights this year. The event will also include 20 fashion shows from the region's top designers, the Swarovski young designers award as well as live demonstrations for cake decorating and ice-sculpting, hair and make up, flower arrangements, chocolate making and traditional music

"Having showcased my line to a loyal clientele in Dubai over the years , I feel The Bride Show is a perfect setting to unveil my 2005 bridal collection in the Gulf," said Salim Asgarally, one of India's most prominent designer's.

"I look forward to exploring new avenues and business opportunties through this show."

Other Indian designers taking part in the show include J.J. Valaya, Carat Couture, C.C. Creations, Bina Modi, Designworld, Regency Jewellers, Anshu & Megha Modhi, Prastuti Creations, Priya & Chintan, INAARA-Dia Impex, Hemarupa Jewels, Neelam Jewels, Bennu Sehgall and Vanshik.

The Bride Show 2005 is endorsed by the Dubai Ladies Club and Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Diamond sponsors include Swarovski, Abu Haleeqa, Eternity Jewellery, Paris Gallery Day Spa, Moora Beauty Salon, Al Boom Tourist Village, Hafeet Gardens and Light House Stage Design. Gold sponsors are National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Shattaf Jewellers and Awad Al Qubaisi.
