Powered by Symantec's Brightmail technology, the Anti Spam Plus service delivers more protection than before for subscribers by incorporating a multi-layered spam prevention technique that leverages more than 20 filtering technologies and proprietary methods for the best protection in the industry.

The new service has a high detection rate for spam emails of up to 95 % and has the industry's highest accuracy rate of 99.9999 % against false positive emails (legitimate emails wrongly detected as spam), allowing users to safely delete the spam folder content without much review.

The eCompany Mail Anti Spam Plus service functions in exactly the same way as the basic eCompany Mail Anti Spam service.

Commenting on the benefits for subscribers, Abdulla Hashim, Senior Manager, eCompany said, "eCompany is committed to leveraging the best technology available in the industry today to support our subscribers in an environment marked by constantly evolving email threats and ever increasing spam volumes. In this endeavour, we are constantly seeking to innovate and work with our partners and the launch of the Anti Spam Plus service is a reinforcement of this mission to offer solutions that integrate best-of-breed, robust email protection features."

In keeping with the stringent eCompany Mail Service privacy policy, users are given the choice to enable or disable the anti-spam solution. Enabling the solution will mean that all the spam that they receive will be stored in a separate spam folder for a period of 14 days. This gives subscribers the choice of checking the messages in the spam folder in case they wish to exercise this option. Additionally, an auto delete feature that deletes spam received after 14 days from the Spam folder automatically helps to keep subscriber accounts from reaching critical storage levels.
