Gulf marine industry keeping afloat

The Dubai International Boat Show 2005, to be held from March 15-19, has already sold out, with more than 440 exhibitors from 30 countries booking space. The regional marine industry is enjoying rapid growth with currently more than 80 boat and yacht manufacturers in the Gulf. According to industry data, more than 15 per cent of vessels built in the Middle East are exported outside the region.
