The exhibitors at the Dubai Pavilion received several enquiries and signed deals for Arabic style Jewellery.

His Excellency Saeed Hamad AlJunaibi, Consul General of United Arab Emirates also visited the Dubai Pavilion in Hong Kong during the show and expressed his satisfaction.

'Dubai's Jewellery Industry is growing in strength year after year and I applaude the Dubai Gold and Jewellery group in its efforts to promote this industry the world over,' said His Excellency Saeed Hamad AlJunaibi, Consul General of United Arab Emirates.

The Dubai Pavilion was inaugurated with an aim to emphasise the city's accessibility and proximity to major gold markets and to underline its status as a manufacturing hub for jewellery.

Mr. Najmuddin Sattak, Board of Director said that 'Our participation as an independent pavilion at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show reflected the importance of the exhibition as a platform for inviting the leading names in world's jewellery community to understand Dubai's expanding role as a facilitator of the entire value chain of jewellery manufacturing and marketing. The Dubai Pavilion featured nine leading local marketers such as Damas Jewellery Dhamani Jewellery, Dhanak Jewellery, Dubai Diamond Exchange, Al Kananah- Silver, H.V.Jewellery, Thamina Jewellery FZCO and SOL investment FZE.'

'The response to the manufacturing facilities provided at Dubai also received enquiries from leading marketers and manufacturers of jewellery,' he added.

The focus of the delegation was to sell the value proposition to visitors to the Dubai Pavilion. In a conscious decision to facilitate manufacturing processes involved with jewellery making, the Dubai government has taken several steps in the past five years to help manufacturers in integrating the entire value chain from sourcing the raw materials to the finished product.

Dubai's growth potential as a jewellery trading hub is immense due to market transparency, low costs and proximity to markets of GCC States, India, Turkey and Europe.

Several prominent players in jewellery industry have recently established their regional headquarters and manufacturing centres in Dubai including Rosy Blue, a leading diamond manufacturer and distributor from India; Smolensk Diamonds, a global leader in the manufacture of polished diamonds from Russia; Rapaport, a leading U.S. based diamond trader.
