Batelco sponsors the 24th Bahrain Open Golf Tournament

This championship is the first of its kind in the Gulf region that began its contests in 1964 in participation of a number of players from different nationalities. Over the last four decades, the championship has contributed remarkably in improving the golf sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf region as a whole. This, in turn, has made the Kingdom of Bahrain a place of interest for many regional and global enthusiasts for this sport.

Ninety participants, of which more than 40 Bahraini players, will take part in this year's championship, representing the Kingdom of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, UK, US, Finland, South Africa, Japan and South Korea. David Park, who won last year's championship, is taking part in this contest to defend his title.

Batelco's sponsorship translates the company's commitment to all sporting endeavours in the Kingdom of Bahrain aiming to illustrate the honourable status of the kingdom and post it in a prominent position of the global sporting map.
