Avaya signs Almasa Network Solutions to increase access to IP telephony for Middle Eastern customers

Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications software, systems and services, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Almasa Network Solutions, one of the region's leading IT hardware and networking solution distributors.
Demand for IP telephony solutions is expanding across the region, and the agreement will allow Avaya to expand its reach and coverage to meet that demand while providing Almasa Network Solutions with market-leading enterprise-level IP telephony solutions to complement and strengthen its existing portfolio.
"Avaya compliments Almasa's strategy of providing first class service, products and solutions. This relationship will strengthen our portfolio in the Enterprise segment. With our Extreme, HP ProCurve & Juniper product range, Avaya's leading voice applications will bring our clients complete solution options, strengthening Almasa in the IP domain. This agreement will provide the ideal platform for state-of-the-art convergence solutions through our channel partners to the Middle East businesses," said Mehdi Amjad, Group Managing Director of Almasa.
The agreement covers distribution of Avaya solutions for the Middle East and North Africa. Almasa will offer pre and post sales support to its resellers, manage logistics and fulfillment of orders and establish a lab facility for solutions testing.
