Samsung's mobile phones wow spectators at the Dubai Desert Classic Golf tournament

Samsung Electronics', the regional and global leader in digital technology, display of best-of-breed mobile phones received an overwhelming response from golf enthusiasts at the recently concluded Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament.
"Samsung mobile phones clearly won the hearts of all golf enthusiasts on account of its fashionable slide-up design and advanced communication functionalities. We are delighted to have been the official mobile phone sponsor of the golf tournament and given the overwhelming response to our participation we will continue to play an integral role in promoting similar events of global distinction in Middle East, said Mr. Steve Han, Senior Manager - Telecommunications, Samsung Gulf Electronics.
SGH-E630 is powered with a built-in VGA camera, polyphonic ringtones and features like voice-recorder, 2000-entry phonebook and a CLI (Call Line Identification) function. Furthermore, last month Samsung had delivered 100 units of its SGH-E630 mobile phone to the Dubai Desert Classic authorities as part of its appointment as the official mobile phone sponsor of the prestigious golf event.
Besides Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL) as the main sponsor of the Desert Classic, CNN International, Arabian Ranches by Emaar, Nakheel, and Samsung as co-sponsors, other sponsors include: Emirates as official airline and Hole In One Sponsor; official caterer, hotel and challenge match sponsor Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa; Official Bank National Bank of Dubai; official courtesy car BMW; and event newspaper Gulf News.
