Dubai pharmaceutical company signs deal to manufacture UK drugs

Dubai's first pharmaceutical manufacturing company, Globalpharma LLC, today announced the signing of a production licensing agreement with Tiverton Laboratories, UK.
The licensing agreement will allow Globalpharma LLC to manufacture and market Tiverton pharmaceuticals in the UAE. The agreement will begin initially with three products with the possibility of further brands in the near future.
Mr Khalid Bin Kalban, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Investments PJSC and Chairman of Globalpharma, is supportive of the agreement, and encourages increased co-operation with international pharmaceutical companies. "We are delighted to have signed the production licensing agreement with Tiverton laboratories," added Mr Kalban. " It will further strengthen our market position and consolidate our status as a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in the Middle East."
Mr. Simon Tate, Managing Director of Tiverton Laboratories, UK, has expressed enthusiasm about initiating a relationship with Globalpharma, and is optimistic about its development and the subsequent growth prospects for the future.
"Tiverton Laboratories only works with plants that meet the relevant international standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), affirmed Mr Tate. "After touring and reviewing Globalpharma's offices and production plant, I am both pleased and impressed with the high standard and structure of the facilities."

Tiverton Laboratories boasts over 50 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Personal care industry.
Dr. Maged Amer, Acting General Manager, Globalpharma adds, "Globalpharma's objectives are to introduce new products to the GCC market incorporating innovative technologies for the easier and safer use of our products. We will license a cardiovascular product and a group of children's vitamins, currently unavailable to our customers in GCC countries."
