IBM Software Live! event to kick off in Jordan
- Jordan: Wednesday, March 09 - 2005 at 11:58
- PRESS RELEASE
IBM Middle East announced today that it will host its renowned IBM Software Live! event in Amman next week, gathering Jordanian organizations, business partners, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and IT students to brief them on the different software components that make up an on-demand business model.
"Jordanian organisations are very much aware that their success in the future depends heavily on their adoption of e-business. IT companies in the country should not only develop software and solutions that meet the needs of specific companies but are also able to transform business models that will allow them to reap benefits in terms of cost savings and higher productivity," said Bashar Kilani, IBM's head of software group, Middle East. "What is quite unique about the event is that IBM will be able to show people how easily five different software solutions can be integrated to build a reliable, flexible, user friendly, manageable, secure and rapidly deployed business infrastructure."
IBM will also share details on its software strategy across the region and address challenges and key issues in a number of topic areas, including application foundations, content and information, integration, user experience, security, IT management and applications development.
The IBM Software Live! event in Jordan is part of a regional roadshow which has already visited Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, and will soon be visiting Egypt.
