Jacky's to open sixth store in the UAE
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, March 09 - 2005 at 13:42
- PRESS RELEASE
Multi-brand retailer, Jacky's Electronics is set to open its sixth store in the UAE with the opening of the Ibn Battuta Mall (formerly known as Garden's Mall) in March 2005.
The new store will incorporate the company's signature new look, boasting a spacious layout and a number of demonstration areas. The new layout has been developed around requirements revealed by a customer survey conducted by Jacky's in 2004. The open store design allows products to be displayed with a view to highlighting their key features and making them accessible to shoppers.
The new store will feature a complete range of electronic items, including digital cameras and MP3 players, plasma and LCD TVs, home appliances and mobile phones. The open layout of the store enhances the retail experience for shoppers, making it a comfortable experience especially for those visiting with young children.
The success of the Jacky's outlet at Deira City Centre, the first of the company's stores to adopt the new look following its recent renovation, showed that a customer's in-store experience, combined with the right product mix and customer service, leads to improved sales. The Deira City Centre store, which was renovated in time for DSF, experienced a 170 per cent hike in sales during DSF, over a regular month's sales in 2004.
The retail boom that the UAE is currently experiencing, along with the housing boom that is occurring beyond the fifth interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road, means that Jacky's will be bringing their offering closer to where more of their customers are increasingly based. "The opening of our new store is a major step for us, in terms of our plans for strategic growth in the emirates. The UAE is currently experiencing a retail boom and, as we continue to establish our presence in some of Dubai's landmark retail venues, Jacky's is set to be a part of it," said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky's Electronics.
To celebrate the opening of its sixth outlet, Jacky's will have exclusive promotional offers on selected products in mobile phones, consumer electronics, IT and home appliances. These offers will be available for a limited time only. All visitors to Jacky's at Ibn Battuta Mall can avail of this offer.
Ibn Battuta Mall, the first themed mall in the Emirates, will have six distinct architectural zones, representing key destinations visited by the 14th Century Arabian traveler Ibn Battuta. The Jacky's store will be located in the Andalusia Court.
With a fresh, new look to all their stores, a successful DSF period behind them and the opening of yet another venue at Ibn Battuta Mall, Jacky's is set to consolidate its position as one of the UAE's most respected and trusted retailers.
