On behalf of the patron of the Championship, HH Sh. Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and UAE Minister of Finance & Industry, Mr. Galadari said 'The owners of the Champion stallion, mare, colt and filly will drive away in a luxury motor vehicle, and the Reserve Champion owners will also receive a prestigious car. Awards for the age classes will be for first to third place and they will receive a valuable gift, varying in design and quality'.
'We will also be staging special classes for UAE horses in the racing and endurance sectors. These classes are not part of the main competition which is governed by the rules of the European Conference of Arabian Horse Organisations (ECAHO). The awards for these classes will be presented from first to third place and the total prize money will be US$ 6,000' said Mr. Galadari.
Mr. Galadari also announced that five European Champion and Reserve Champions will be participating in the Arabian horse show in March. 'These horses have been judged as the best in Europe and having them participate in our Championship is a great honour' said Mr. Galadari. 'The standard of our Championship will be heightened by their involvement in the event and we appreciate their support immensely. We have also received interest from owners in Australia and hope to have at least three horses participating from the country with the second largest population of Arabian horses in the world'.
