The BEDG's core activities focus on promoting British designs for export, and the Middle East is an important market for the group's activities. Their presence at the show will feature a showcase of 20 leading designers, studios and companies all capable of supplying high-end luxury products, commissioned work and consultancy services.

The show will take place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from April 11 to 14, 2005.

In addition to the stand, the BEDG will also host daily seminars covering the latest trends in Glass & Ceramics, Wall & Floor Coverings, Home Textiles and Lighting. For the first time, Middle East buyers and consumers of lifestyle and interior products can find out about global industry developments first hand.

Commented Karin-Beate Phillips, founder of BEDG says, "BEDG has played a principal role in promoting creative talent from Great Britain in key export markets. The Middle East with its booming property market and high net-worth home-owners is a lucrative growth market for our designers. We plan to use our presence in Dubai to reach out to architects, project managers and other industry professionals and raise awareness on the full range of talent existing in the UK in the fields of interior and product design, architecture and environmental planning, as well as design education, innovation and research.

The BEDG have been involved in other major industry events across the USA, Australia, Germany, France and Italy, including Ambiente and Tendence Frankfurt, ICFF New York, art & interior Prague and since 2005 Maison et Objet Paris and Abitare il Tempo Verona.

Ambiente Arabia is an industry-focused exhibition offering a direct route to a serious buying audience of giftware and home interior products. Ambiente Arabia attracts exhibitors from all over the world - where 80 per cent are new to the Middle East and looking to establish business partnerships and agents.

Ambiente Arabia is for trade only during the day and open to the public in the evenings between 5-7pm.
