ABPC will work with the organisers to ensure that the 10th Anniversary Edition of AAME, an International Tradeshow for Automobile Spare Parts, Equipment, Tyres, Motorcycles, Batteries & Garage Equipment for the MENA region is a 'Clean' show.

The Automotive Aftermarket Trade Show organised by International Expo Consults, represents the interests of the second largest market for second-hand cars in the world! Car and spare parts exports to UAE are projected to be AED 18 Billion in 2005 and growing at 10% per annum!

Speaking on their participation the spokesperson for ABPC said, 'The demand for spare parts, components and accessories is fuelled by the increase in business & retail activities in the region. Sellers of fake parts naturally see this is a growth market. It is estimated that the value of counterfeit goods sold each year is US$12 billion worldwide. Figures indicate that perhaps one in every three garages and auto outlets in the Middle East could be selling fake parts. We are delighted that AAME has taken a strong position against the trade in fake parts.'

'Fake parts are made by people who have no interest in safety or reliability, only profit. They have no obligation to ensure that the parts they make and sell won't damage your car. All they want is your money. We hope that customers will understand the risks of buying fake parts. Genuine parts have undergone strict safety checks to ensure they meet the required high safety standards expected by consumers. With AAME as a clean show we remove one more opportunity for the promotion of this illegal and dangerous trade' the spokesperson concluded.

AAME has grown significantly over the years and has emerged as a convergence point for manufacturers, dealers, distributors and buyers from the Automotive Aftermarket Industry worldwide. Spread across 2 halls & over 2500 square meters net space, this years showing is 30% higher compared to last year. This year's event will feature over 200 companies from 20 countries across the world.

Some of the key exhibitors include L & D Aromaticos, Spain; Duram Trading FZC, UAE; Iran Khodro Investment Development Co. (Iran); P T Distributors Sdn Bhd, Malaysia; Success International (PTE) Ltd., Singapore etc. besides national pavilions from China, Taiwan & Turkey.

AAME 2005 promises to open up business opportunities in this industry, which is growing at a phenomenal 19% in the Middle East. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Show is a focused B2B event and will attract prospective business visitors from across the region including Asia and Europe. Over 6,000 professional business visitors from 30 countries are expected to visit the Expo.
