UAE, draft law on cyber crime

Cyber crimes in the UAE will carry a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a Dhs100,000 fine, according to a draft law approved by the Legislative Committee in Abu Dhabi yesterday. The law is to protect the privacy of Internet users, information systems and online government information and documents, reported Gulf News.
