'This is brilliant news and it is a very good start to the year,' says Fadi Ghosn, Regional Marketing Manager for Premium Brands, General Motors. 'The 9-3 line-up is unmatched in both functionality and character. It is one of the reasons why Saab is becoming so popular across the region and why, for example, it was the fastest growing European premium car brand in the North American market in 2003.'
The Saab 9-3 line up is a highly decorated car line, with the 9-3 Sedan also recently taking out the 'Double Best Pick' designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in the USA - the first passenger car ever to achieve this distinction. The 2003 9-3 Sport Sedan, 2004 9-3 Convertible and 2003 Saab 9-5 have all earned five stars, the highest rating possible, in the European New Car Assessment Program's frontal and side-impact crash tests.
Saab 9-3 recommended by Consumer Guide
Consumer Guide, an influential source of automotive information in the USA, has recognized the Saab 9-3 as the most 'Recommended' car in its January 2005 auto issue.
