Pure Gold opens new store
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, March 16 - 2005 at 09:05
- PRESS RELEASE
Pure Gold opened their new branch in Dubai's Gold Souk yesterday.
By the end of 2006 Pure Gold aims to open 35 stores, expanding into the G.C.C starting with Kuwait and Bahrain. The jewellers are investing more than 150AED million into this expansion.
The Gold Souk branch is expected to increase total sales by 25 to 30 percent. The store carries three million grams of gold and houses a wide range of diamonds, semi precious stone, antique jewellery and the largest gold necklace in the region.
"The Gold Souk store is an important branch for us. It signifies one more step in our plan of expansion which is set at opening one store per month; by the end of the year we will have 22 stores within the Emirates. We have invested 25AED million into this particular store and have provided what we feel is the perfect jewellery shopping experience" says Mr. Karim Merchant, Managing Director of Pure Gold Jewellers.
With branches spread across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Pure Gold has been elevated into one of the top three players in jewellery market share. Their extensive expansion plan includes stores in The Gardens Discovery Mall, The Mall of Emirates and Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi.
"Our growth reflects our success within the market. We are committed to investing our time, efforts and capital into our growth. Expansion into the G.C.C feels like a natural step for us,
Dubai has provided excellent opportunities and we want to extend that success across the region."
Pure Gold Jewellers completed their fifteen year in 2003. The Company's success, from modest bullion traders to expansion into both local and international jewellery retailing is the result of the far-sighted policy of the management team.
"We are extremely proud of our achievements in the region and are committed to providing our customers with the best quality of jewellery, creative designs and excellent service. I would like to thank the vision of the U.A.E's rulers and the support of U.A.E based business persons, without their support none of this would be possible" says Mr. Firoz Merchant, Chairman of Pure Gold Jewellers.
