UAE high-level delegation to visit Pakistan to discuss investment opportunities

Dr. Mohamed Khalfan bin Khirbash, the UAE Minister of State for Finance and Industry, and Chairman of Dubai Islamic Bank, will lead a high level UAE delegation on a three-day visit to Pakistan, commencing March 17, 2005.

The visit is scheduled to include high profile meetings with Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, besides meetings with senior government officials of leading public and private sector institutions.

The UAE delegation will comprise officials from the Ministry of Finance and Industry and senior management members of Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB).

"We are looking forward to strengthening the traditionally strong bonds of friendship and co-operation that exist between the UAE and Pakistan" said Dr. Khirbash.

The delegation is scheduled to meet in Karachi with Governor Sindh, Eshrat Ul Ebad, and other prominent high-level officials. The delegation will also meet Dr. Ishrat Hussain, Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan.
