Dr. Milad Sebaaly, Universal Knowledge Solutions CEO, held a presentation titled 'Roadmaps to Success: Regional Models for Technology Integration' at the Effat College Third Annual Symposium on Learning & Technology in Saudi Arabia.
This experience emerges from the implementation of several pioneering projects in the region:
• integrating e-learning into the BIT curriculum at the American University in Dubai in a blended format
• establishing and running the first accredited full-fledge virtual university in the region, the Syrian Virtual University
• providing a full technology support for developing and delivering online programs at the E-College of Total Quality Management in Dubai
• launching technology based learning project for schools, the ELITIS™ project, which aims at integrating e-learning modules to support real interactive learning of IT, Maths and Sciences to primary and high-school students in the region.
Such successful implementation of advanced projects relying on the extreme integration of educational methodologies and technologies are presented. While taking the cultural characteristics of the region and the way its people are used to learn into consideration, such implementations aim at paving the way towards the education of tomorrow by realizing in the Middle-East what still remains a vision in most parts of the globe.
