Dr. Milad Fares Sebaaly is the CEO of Universal Knowledge Solutions, an e-learning enabler company based in the UAE, Lebanon and Kuwait, now part of the Kuwaiti AREF Investment Group. He was previously Provost of the Syrian Virtual University, the first Arab Virtual University which his team implemented and managed under his supervision; and Chairman of the Information Technology Department at the American University in Dubai, a department that he spearheaded and directed. Dr. Sebaaly's current research interests include: global economy and knowledge economy; e-learning, online education and ICT programs; educational technology and virtual education. Born on January 29, 1969 in Lebanon, Dr. Sebaaly earned his Bachelor and Master's degrees respectively in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the American University in Beirut, Lebanon and his Doctor of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan.
