The annual 'Traffic Week' at Marina Mall draws great interest

The Ministry of Interior and General Directorate of the Abu Dhabi Police launched the annual Traffic Week at Marina Mall on March 12, 2004.
"Marina Mall is greatly honored to be working closely with the Abu Dhabi Police on the Traffic Week event," said Mr. Nadeem Wajahat, Mall Manager, Marina Mall. "We like to support community events such as the programs and events of the Traffic Week that aim at increasing traffic education and awareness among both the UAE citizens and foreign residents of Abu Dhabi. It is an event that is commemorated in all GCC countries with extensive information and field campaigns." In closing Mr. Wajahat said that "We are thankful for the support from schools in Abu Dhabi, and we are proud to support in the creation of a generation that is active in promoting road safety.
The event featured an exhibition highlighting the roles played by various organizations like the municipality, civil defense and police medical services in road safety. A professionally supervised model road network with toy cars and motorbikes was set up outside the mall for children to use and get acquainted with road rights.
