Dubai eGovernment joins hands with Zakat Fund

Dubai eGovernment and Zakat Fund in Abu Dhabi are to join hands to closely work together in the upcoming future and jointly launch mutual initiatives.
"Our mission as Dubai eGovernment entails helping other non profit and semi-Government organizations to adopt new technologies and innovative channels in delivering their services to the Public" said Mahmood Al Bastaki, Acting Director of eServices, Dubai eGovernment. "Through the vast experience acquired by Dubai eGovernment in the past four years, we will avail all our expertise to an esteemed entity such as Zakat Fund ." said Al Bastaki.
"Zakat Fund deals with a large number of people and organizations. Hence, it is an imminent need for us to open new innovative channels in order to enhance our service delivery. We were impressed by the systems put together by Dubai eGovernment and we are keen to utilize them for delivering our services through advanced and interactive channels. This collaboration provides a great opportunity to complement our services," said Nabeel Al Buainain, Admin. Manager of Human Resources and Services, Zakat Fund.
The areas of collaboration between Zakat Fund and Dubai eGovernment will comprise of the following: Evaluation of the Zakat Fund's website, joint marketing campaigns to cross promote our services, mutually participate in events, Dubai eGovernment to help the Zakat Fund coordinate the Fund's activities with Dubai Government entities and explore the possibility of using Dubai eGovernment's payment Gateway and other related services.
Zakat Fund is an independent authority under the federal law No 4 for year 2003 whose primary task is the collection and distribution of the Zakat tithe, according to the Islamic Sharia. The Fund has played a major role in assisting disadvantaged members of the community, and in this way it helps to affirm the bonds of social responsibility between citizens.
