Emirates increases frequency to Paris

The new flights will depart from Dubai International airport at 15:00hrs (EK075) every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, arriving in Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport at 20:10hrs. The return flights (EK076) will take off from Paris on the same days at 21:50hrs and arrive at Dubai the next morning at 06:30hrs.

The increased frequency gives Emirates passengers outbound from Dubai the option of arriving in the French capital either in the early afternoon (13:20hrs) or the evening (20:10hrs).

Keith Longstaff, Emirates' Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Europe, said: "Customer demand for our services to Paris has been steadily building up and we are very pleased to offer the five additional weekly services. It creates more seat capacity on the route while also giving passengers greater flexibility in planning their travel times."

Emirates will serve the route with three-class Airbus A330s. Another two weekly services will be added in summer 2006, giving Emirates passengers a double choice every day of the week.

The fact that the airline will have moved from three flights each week just three years ago, to 14 flights by 2006 is indicative of the success of the Paris route. The company also operates three weekly departures from Nice.

The new frequency will increase Emirates SkyCargo's offering by 95 tonnes every week, boosting its total weekly cargo capacity between Dubai and Paris to 215 tonnes. The award-winning cargo division transports consumer electronics, fruits, vegetables, foodstuff, garments and textiles to Paris from around its network.

From Paris, Emirates SkyCargo carries cheese, electronic products, designer wear, garments, luxury goods, industrial equipment and aircraft parts to its hub in Dubai for the vibrant local market and for onward distribution to the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, the Far East and Australasia.

From December this year, Emirates will also introduce daily frequencies to Geneva, which will offer passengers not just excellent access to Switzerland but will also offer greater ease of connection to French destinations such as the Rhône Alps region (as far south as Lyon), Franche Comté and Burgundy.
