GC Marine achieves sales of USD 5 million at Dubai International Boat Show

GC Marine Yachts and Boats has announced their successful participation in the Dubai International Boat Show which concluded recently, at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), Mina Seyahi.

During the four days of the exhibition, GC Marine achieved sales to the tune of US$ 5 million, following major deals with buyers from France, Malta, UAE and other countries in the Gulf region.

Commenting on the success of the show, Jamal Al Shaali, Chairman, GC Marine Yachts and Boats said, "The response we received at the Dubai International Boat Show has far exceeded our expectations. We sold five 'ADORA 38' luxury boats and three fishing boats to buyers from France and six 'SEABUS 40' to a company in Dubai, one 'ADORA 53' to a buyer from Kuwait, while buyers from Malta bought two 'SEABUS 53'.

"In addition, we also sold 34 luxury and fishing boats of different types like 'SOOLY' and 'SEABREEZE ' to buyers from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE and Azerbaijan. This was a very fruitful exhibition for us, both in terms of sales as well as publicity for our entire range of offerings," added Al Shaali.

Further, GC Marine has finalised deals with a Saudi Arabian national to build a 100- foot yacht and another deal with a Belgian agent to supply five luxury yachts.

The Dubai International Boat Show, organised by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) attracted thousands of visitors from around the world. The 40,000 square meter exhibition area accommodated 440 exhibitors from 30 countries, in addition to 85 berths for boats ranging from 39ft to over 200ft, making it the premier networking event for buyers.

GC Marine is setting up a new 12,500 square meter manufacturing unit in order to meet the increasing demand for boats and yachts in the region. The company has received the European Conformity (CE) marking which indicates that the product complies with all European product directives. It is a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and the Arab Marine Industries Association (AMIA) and was recently awarded the TUV CERT ISO 9001 : 2000 certification.

"The boat show provided us with the required platform to target potential buyers from around the world. We are very satisfied with the outcome of the exhibition and it fulfilled our key business goals. The high profile visitors and exhibitors at the event also facilitated networking at the highest level and allowed us to explore business opportunities to the fullest. We will continue to strengthen our operations in the Middle East region and further increase our manufacturing capacity to cater to the growing demands of the region," concluded Al Shaali.
