Nokia delivers multimedia messaging solution to ALJAWAL

Nokia has signed an agreement with ALJAWAL (GSM operator of Saudi Telecom Company) for the supply of the Nokia Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) solution.
With the launch of the commercial MMS service, ALJAWAL will be able to offer its' 9.6 million mobile subscribers services such as person-to-person MMS, which is a greatly enriched version of SMS with the capability of sending video clips, pictures and voice or sounds combined with text messages.
"ALJAWAL is pleased with its successful cooperation with Nokia in being able to be the first mobile network operator in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to add Multimedia Messaging Services to our existing comprehensive service portfolio," says Mr. Jameel Molhem, General Manager, Marketing, ALJAWAL.
"We also look forward to continue assisting Saudi Telecom Company in meeting its future needs in this competitive market with the delivery of the Nokia high capacity MMS solution. In addition to the complete Nokia MMS solution, Nokia will provide care services for deployment, including emergency support, help desk, software maintenance, and training, as well as system integration services.
