CO-OP ISLAMI registers a 15 percent growth in sales

CO-OP ISLAMI, the region's leading producer and retailer of real halal products, announced that the company's sales have increased by 15 per cent since the launch of a GCC-wide AED 5 Million innovative promotional campaign.

CO-OP ISLAMI expects this campaign to increase its sales throughout the region by 35 per cent and help maintain its lead in real Halal meat products. The promotion provides consumers with the opportunity of wining five fully automatic 2005 model Mini Cooper sports cars and 4995 remote controlled Mini Cooper toy cars and is the largest ever organised by the company throughout the GCC.

Saleh Abdulla Lootah, Chief Executive Officer, CO-OP ISLAMI, said: "The campaign has contributed to increase the company's sales tremendously in the region's market. This followed the good response registered by our customers. The idea of launching the promotion is a result of our intention to provide excitement and value to all our loyal customers in the GCC."

He added: "We made sure to add new entertainment dimensions to the campaign by choosing a unique and fashionable car, in demand with the region's car fans."

CO-OP ISLAMI is known for its innovative promotional campaigns like the Dhs 3 million GCC-wide Golden Egg campaign to spearhead its annual Ramadan Surprises promotion.

Establishing CO-OP ISLAMI came into being as a result of long relentless efforts commenced in the early seventies when Hajj Saeed Bin Ahmad Lootah instituted Dubai Cooperative Society. Since it was initially launched, Dubai Cooperative Society was immersed in hard works to establish the principles of commercial dealings. Later on, 1981 came to mark a changing history of Dubai Cooperative Society established "CO-OP ISLAMI" for the purpose making real Halal food available for consumers through legal Islamic Supervision on all meat products imported from outside UAE.
