Dubai Women's College Developmental Division Head received 2005 International Exemplary Leadership Award

Dubai Women's College (DWC) recently announced that John McFadyen, Developmental Division Head at DWC and newly appointed Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) new Institutes of Applied Technology (IAT), was awarded the 2005 International Exemplary Leadership Award by the American-based Chair Academy.
The Chair Academy's award selection criteria include demonstrated program development that enhanced the learning at the institution, the creation of diverse offerings that meet the changing population, empowering others, exemplary leadership and commitment to the organization.
"John McFadyen is a passionate educator who is committed to the development and employment of UAE Nationals. It is appropriate that his effectiveness as an educational leader at DWC has been recognized by such an important international organization," stated Dr. Howard Reed, DWC Director.
Mr McFadyen was recently appointed as Director of the IAT. Prior to this, he served as Developmental Division Head at DWC and taught in the Information Technology department since joining the College in 1993. He also taught in the fields of computing, information systems, maths, and programming. He has degrees in Economics, Science and Education from the University of Queensland, Australia. His Master's Degree is in the areas of Software Engineering and Information Systems.
