Expanded online business service brings new opportunities for organizations in the Middle East

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, March 28 - 2005 at 10:48
  • PRESS RELEASE

To meet the ever-increasing demand for Middle East industry knowledge and contact information, AME Info, the region's leading provider of business information on the region, has re-launched its AME Info Business Directory.

The expanded, improved service deploys an advanced, global standard classification system, making key details easier to find for international and local investors and business people.

Providing the most comprehensive database available to executives and managers, AME's Business Directory lists addresses, telephone contact details, e-mail and website information for 209,310 companies located in 14 countries across the Middle East.

"This is an exciting time for organisations to do business in the Middle East, and we are on hand to ensure that they can also benefit from the extraordinary success of the region's economies," said Klaus Lovgreen, CEO, AME Info.

"There are a significant number of opportunities in the region, but what matters most is to know which the right companies to contact are," added Lovgreen. "Businesses develop through market information and access to key decision-makers."

To further simplify business searches, AME Info has also implemented a comprehensive re-structuring of its database. Users will now be able to rapidly locate the information they need by using the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), the most thorough and complete industry classification system in use today.

Developed by the US Census Bureau in cooperation with its North American counterparts, NAICS classifies each and every company with a six-digit code that contains industry information on a local, national and regional level, enabling users to gain a clear overview of the market from every angle possible. NAICS is used by governments, financial and legal corporations, trade associations, multinationals and every other industry body requiring a complete database archive.

"AME Info is constantly striving to provide an innovative and functional service to the business community, both in the region and internationally. We have, and will continue to spend time and effort designing a directory that is simple to use, convenient and with the information that managers want to know - an indispensable tool for managers everywhere," said Lovgreen.
